Due to several fraudulent activities resulting in a significant financial loss to PEF MBP, and to ensure that only active, dues-paying PEF members and retirees are able to purchase e-gift cards using their Membership Identification Number (MIN) and their own credit card, all purchases must now be made by calling PEF MBP or by visiting the PEF MBP office. This verification process helps ensure that only eligible members and retirees receive PEF MBP benefits, allowing us to maintain low costs, offer a rich selection of benefits, and increase the overall value for everyone. PEF MBP is actively seeking an alternative solution for e-ticket and e-gift card purchases and appreciates your patience as we work through this transition.
To purchase:
- Call (518) 785-1900, ext. 243, opt.1 with your order, or
- Visit the PEF MBP office at 10 Airline Drive., Albany, to make a purchase.
- Regardless of how you purchase your e-gift card, the e-gift card will be emailed directly to the email address on file. If you would like to access your e-gift card immediately, or you cannot find your e-gift card in your email inbox, visit pefmbp.com, click on “My Account” at the top of the web page, click on “Order History”, choose the order with your current purchase, click “Details”, and then click the print button to print your order.
- Please do not wait until the last minute to make your e-gift card purchase as the office is open weekdays from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and we are not open on the weekends to walk-in traffic, nor to take phone orders.

How to Redeem Online
- Go to basspro.com or cabelas.com
- Shop for your desired products and add to cart
- Checkout when ready
- When entering payment information, enter the 19 digit gift card number and 4 digit pin number, then select ‘Apply’ and continue with checkout
How to Redeem In Stores
- Print out your e-gift card number
- Show cashier the printed gift card at payment
- Cashier will also accept gift card numbers shown on electronic devices

About e-gift cards:
E-gift cards will be emailed to you (no physical ticket is mailed).Once you place your order by calling PEF MBP or by visiting the PEF MBP office, you will receive a confirmation email followed by an email containing your e-ticket which you can then print yourself and take to the venue. E-gift cards are not printed for you if you choose to visit the PEF MBP office to make your purchase. E-gift cards print on one sheet of paper for each ticket purchased. To prevent e-gift card email delivery issues, please add mbp@pef.org to your email address book.
- E-gift card purchases must be made by phone or in-person at the PEF MBP office, Mon–Fri between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Purchases are not available via the website.
- If you plan to purchase for use over a weekend, PEF MBP strongly recommends that you call or visit the office prior to Wednesday at 5 p.m. (Allowing for 48-hour delivery is best.)
- If you have not received your e-gift card by 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon, there is no one on staff to assist you until Monday at 9 a.m.
- Once your e-gift card is purchased and sent via email, PEF MBP is no longer in control of your e-gift card delivery and cannot control how long it may take for your e-gift cards to arrive in your inbox.
