When an increased level of care is needed

What CarePatrol Can do for You

CarePatrol works with senior citizens who are having safety and health issues in their current living situations. Many times, CarePatrol will consult with seniors’ family members who are called upon to be caregivers themselves. The experience of CarePatrol advisors allows them to recommend the best independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing home, and in-home care options. Recommendations for care can be made by meeting with each client personally to assess their health and safety needs, finances, preferences in location, and social/hobby likes. Meetings can take place at home, or in a hospital or rehabilitation center if there is a crisis. Often, families need to make a quick decision regarding care.

If it is determined that the individual or family would like to consider a community, CarePatrol recommends and personally tours each community with the client and most often, with the family as well. Tours allow clients to see firsthand, what a community has to offer and meet other residents to hear how their experiences have been. Should a client decide on a community, CarePatrol assists with the move in process. Assistance can include ensuring that all paperwork with the community is complete, recommending moving professionals, house clean out services, reviewing long-term care policies to make sure benefits are collected, and more.

Ancillary services

CarePatrol has developed a vast network of related professionals who can provide additional services. Each has been vetted through years of experience. These professionals include elder law attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, realtors, and movers to name a few. In addition, CarePatrol provides special assistance to veterans. The benefit is called the Veterans Aid and Attendance Pension. This pension offers financial assistance to pay for community living to War Era Veterans and their spouses. There is a significant amount of paperwork that is required for the application process. CarePatrol reviews each client’s potential access to this pension and assists in the application process. The pension can be as much as $2,300 per month for a couple, $2,000 a month for the veteran him/herself, and $1,250 a month for their surviving spouse.

Please also note that services for elder law planning are available through the Voluntary Legal Service Plan and financial planning services are provided through Stacey Braun Associates, Inc. Both benefits are provided through the PEF Membership Benefits Program.

The 3-Step Process

1. Discovery

To match your loved one with a community that best fits his or her emotional and physical needs, CarePatrol must ask some personal questions. But rest assured, they are known for being caring, not confrontational. Preserving dignity.

2. Explore Care Options

Based on CarePatrol’s site evaluations and the Care Discovery session, they will present you with the top three (3) community matches. They will take you on a personal tour of each site so you can see the accommodations and speak directly with each site’s concierge. Guiding you at every step.

3. Care Decision

It’s hard to imagine how care needs will change over the next months or years. CarePatrol will help you understand what you can expect so you can feel comfortable knowing the home you choose can meet those needs. Expert advice you can rely on.
