Frequently Asked Questions & Answers Regarding E-Products

Can I purchase as many e-tickets and e-gift cards that I would like?

You can purchase as many physical gift cards as you would like, however available stock is not guaranteed. E-gift cards carry a maximum purchase amount of three (3) of a particular type and denomination when you purchase through the PEF MBP website. Movie e-tickets carry a maximum purchase amount of five (5) of a particular type when you purchase through the PEF MBP website. However, higher quantity amounts are available if you call or visit the PEF MBP office.

How do e-products (i.e., e-tickets & e-gift cards) work?

  1. Select those products represented with the e-product icon [e].
  2. Purchase your e-product
  3. Access your e-product:
    E-products will be emailed to you as an attached PDF. Save the attachment onto your computer. You now have your e-product stored. Print them at your convenience. All you’ll need is Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0. or higher. (If you don’t have it, download it for free.) You can also retrieve your e-product from your account:

    • Click “My Account” at top right of page.
    • Click “Order History” on the right hand side.
    • Choose the order with your e-products and click on the “Details” button.
    • Above the address, click on “Click here to reprint your e-product(s).” link to display a link to the PDF.
    • Click on the link to the PDFs to view and print.
  4. At the venue, your e-tickets will be scanned at the gate for entry into the event.
    PLEASE NOTE: E-tickets must be printed out and taken with you to the venue. E-tickets are NOT scannable via a mobile device.
  5. Your e-gift card can be brought to the register at the retail location, or it can be scanned from your mobile device. Some e-gift cards can be used online, check the product description for details.

Are there benefits to choosing e-products?

Yes! Convenience.

  • You receive your e-products within 48 hours. No waiting for mail delivery.
  • You can print them out anytime.
  • You can forward them to the individuals who will be using them so they can print their own e-products for use/redemption.

Which email from PEF MBP contains my e-products?

When you purchase e-products, you’ll get two e-mails. The first is your order confirmation email. This email only confirms your order and may not be used for entry into the event or at the retail location. Shortly after, you’ll get another email containing a PDF attachment with your e-products. You must open the attachment and print out your e-product(s) (i.e., an e-ticket for entry into an event or e-gift card for use at a retail location or online). Scanning e-tickets via a mobile device is not an option. Only e-gift cards are scannable via a mobile device.

Do I need any special hardware or software to use e-products?

  • Any ink-jet or laser printer (color or black & white) with a resolution of 300 dpi or more is able to print e-products. Use 8.5″ x 11″, white paper for best results. If you’re unsure of your printer’s resolution/dpi, check the printer manual.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher. If you do not have it, download it now for free.

Will the e-product be accepted for entry into the event or for use online or at a retail location?

Yes! The e-product that is printed through your printer is a valid, legitimate e-ticket/e-gift card. Make sure you keep it in a safe place like you would cash, and protect it just like you would any other e-product! E-tickets are not scannable via a mobile device, while e-gift cards are scannable.

What if I print more than one copy of my e-product or a photocopy is made?

Only the first scan of the barcode on your e-product will be valid for use. Make sure you keep the printed e-product in a safe place like you would cash, and protect it just like you would any other e-product! If more than one copy were to be used, the barcode scanner will alert the attendant that the e-product has already been scanned. If there is a dispute, the purchaser’s name and their unique PEF Membership Identification Number (MIN) is on each e-product.

Why aren’t e-tickets available for all types of tickets?

Only venues with the appropriate scanning equipment can offer e-tickets. As e-tickets become more popular, more venues will use them, increasing the availability of e-tickets for you to take advantage of.

What if I cannot print my e-product?

  • Check to make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 (Free) or higher.
  • Make sure your printer is on and the cables are connected to your computer.
  • Make sure your computer has enough memory available; try closing any unnecessary programs.

When I print the e-product(s) I didn’t see a bar code or a QR code, is there a problem?

Yes. Close out of your PDF viewer and try opening up the attachment again. If you are still not seeing a bar code or a QR code, please contact PEF MBP at (800) 767–1840 or (518) 785–1900, ext. 243.

What if I get disconnected or experience other problems while placing my e-product order?

On the PEF MBP website and click on “My Account” at the very top right of the home page to check your order. If your order was placed successfully, you will see your order listed. If you click on your order, it will open to a more detailed order page and at the top of that page, above the address, you will find a link that says, “Click here to re-print your e-products.” If you do not see the order, that means that it was not successfully completed, and you should try again.

What if I did not receive my confirmation email?

If you did not receive your confirmation email, please contact us during our office hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. EST at (800) 767–1840 or (518) 785–1900, ext. 243, so we can help you with your order. Or, click on “My Account”, and look for your order to confirm it was placed. You may print your e-products from your account as well.

To print from your account:

  1. Click ” My Account” at the top right of the page.
  2. Click “Order History” on right hand side.
  3. Choose the order with your e-products and click on the “Details” button.
  4. Above the address, click on the “Click here to reprint your e-product(s).” link to display a link to the PDF.
  5. Click on the link to the PDFs to view and print.

Can I show the e-product to the vendor from my mobile device?

For e-tickets: No. Vendors need to have the physical print out of the e-ticket in order to scan it. Scanning  from a mobile device is not available as a method of entry into a venue at this time. It is important that you print your e-ticket at home and bring it with you.

For e-gift cards: Yes, e-gift cards can be printed and redeemed or they are scannable via your mobile device at the retail location.

What if the background for my e-product print, but not the e-product information?

Try this:

  1. Open the pdf file in Adobe Acrobat Reader
  2. Select “File,” then “Print” from the top menu
  3. In the printer window, check the box that states “Print As Image,” then click “Okay.”
  4. Still unable to print? Contact us for help at (800) 767-1840 or (518) 785-1900, ext. 243.

If I order multiples of a single type of e-product, on a single order, how many emails will I get?

You will receive one confirmation email, plus one email with a PDF attachment containing all e-ticket/e-gift card(s) purchased for that order. The PDF file will contain multiple pages with one e-ticket/e-gift card per page. PLEASE NOTE: If you place an additional order for more e-ticket/e-gift card(s) to the same event, you will receive another set of emails.

If I order different types of e-products, how many emails will I get?

You will receive one confirmation email, plus one email with a PDF attachment for each type of e-ticket/e-gift card ordered. For example, if you purchase one Six Flags New England ticket and one e-gift card within the same order, you will receive one confirmation email confirming your entire purchase order for both products and then one email with a separate PDF attachment for each type of product you ordered.

I did not use my e-products and would like to return them.

As clearly communicated throughout our website, no refunds or returns are accepted on e-products.

Will my email address or other personal information be distributed to third parties?

No, PEF MBP does not share your information with third party vendors.
