Event Details

Park admission, lunch buffet & parking pass—just $30

  • PEF members/retirees can purchase up to four (4) e-tickets at the $30 price and up to an additional six (6) e-tickets may be purchased at the discounted price of $82.08.
  • The $30 e-ticket or the $82.08 discounted e-ticket for admission must be purchased by season ticket holders as well.
  • E-ticket includes amusement park and Wild Safari admission, a lunch buffet, and parking.
  • Children 2 years of age and younger do not need a ticket.
  • Once you purchase your event e-tickets, the e-tickets will be emailed directly to your email address on file with PEF MBP. You will need to keep these e-tickets in a safe place and bring them with you the day of the event. You must present them for admission into the park.
  • The PEF member/retiree does not need to be present at the park the day of the event as there is no registration/ticket pick-up process.

Free Parking

  • The parking lot opens at 9:45 a.m.
  • You will receive your e-ticket parking pass by email in advance of the event. You must print and bring this pass with you the day of the event in order to park for free. If you forget your parking e-ticket, you will need to pay for your own parking.

Park Entry for Event Day Begins at 10:30 a.m.

  • You may come to the park with your family members/friends for a 10:30 a.m. event start time.
  • PEF member/retiree who purchased the event e-tickets does not need to be present the day of the event. There is no formal registration/ticket pick-up process as all e-tickets are emailed in advance.
  • Once you arrive at the park, you will need to proceed through security/metal detection which will open at 10 a.m. and then proceed to the ticket turnstiles to enter the park. Have your e-tickets with you for entry.

One (1) Complimentary Holiday in the Park Ticket

Each e-ticket holder/PEF MBP guest will receive a one-day complimentary admission ticket to Holiday in the Park. Each e-ticket holder will receive their complimentary Holiday in the Park ticket upon entry into the lunch pavilion.

Purchase a souvenir bottle for free soft drinks and water refills for $19.99 plus tax

  • Free water/soda offer only available with the purchase of a discounted souvenir bottle just $19.99 plus tax.
  • Unlimited refills are available July 13th and as an added bonus, the souvenir bottle can be brought back to the park on any future visits during the 2024 season for discounted soft drink refills.
  • Purchase online directly through the Great Adventure website. Enter Promo Code PEF where it says to Enter Promo in the yellow bar at the top of the web page. Be sure to use CHROME, as the link will not work in Internet Explorer.
  • Purchase via your smartphone. Use Sarfari for this purchase. Tap the menu bar at the top right of the Great Adventure logo. Tap the box, “Enter Promo Code” (which is at the bottom) and enter Promo Code PEF, then tap GO!
  • No sales are available the day of the event. Purchase by July 7th.
  • Souvenir bottles purchased by July 7, can be picked up upon arrival the day of the event anywhere bottles are sold in the park, including major food stands, drink refill stands, the candy shop near the entrance, etc.
  • Souvenir bottle refills can be made at any restaurant displaying a blue drink cup image on their signage.

2025 Season Pass Upgrade

  • Available to all PEF members/retirees who purchase family and friends day tickets.
  • Passes will be available for purchase at specific locations in the park. 
  • Upgrades are only available July 13.

Buffet lunch (Noon–3 p.m.)

  • Located in the lunch pavilion area (likely Pine and/or Oak Pavilion(s)). Look for the PEF MBP banners to locate the correct pavilion(s).
  • Lunch e-tickets are required for entry. One-time entry only. Once you leave the lunch pavilion area, you cannot re-enter.
  • Menu: Hamburger, veggie burger, chicken tenders, garden salad, sausage & peppers, tortellini alfredo, mac & cheese, corn, cookies, coca cola beverages & water.
  • Raffle prizes will be available at the PEF MBP table. Be sure to stop by the PEF MBP table to pick up your raffle prize entry form and enter into the prize drawing of your choice.
  • Winners will be drawn the Monday following the event. Winners will be contacted by PEF MBP.

Important Event Policy Information

  • PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be made available.
  • Limit of four (4) e-tickets per PEF member/PEF retiree at the special price of $30. Up to an additional six (6) e-tickets may be purchased at the discounted price of $82.08
  • PEF members/retirees, family members, and friends are only allowed to attend one (1) of the two (2) family and friend day events offered, regardless of the number of e-tickets purchased and home/work address. Your order will be verified to ensure that no other family & friends day event e-tickets have been purchased before your e-tickets order is processed for this specific event.
  • If you place an order and we find that you have already purchased e-tickets for another 2024 family & friends day event, your order will be cancelled and you will receive a cancellation notice.
  • Once your order is processed, your e-tickets (admission, buffet lunch, and parking) will be emailed directly to your email address.
  • There is no registration/ticket pick-up process the day of the event. Simply arrive with your admission e-tickets, parking e-ticket, and meal e-tickets in hand.
  • You will receive an event reminder email approximately 2-3 days prior to the event that will include any event updates and important details you need to be aware of prior to attending.
  • E-ticket sales will end on July 7, 2024 or when e-ticket availability has run out (whichever comes first).
  • There will be no rain date.
  • As a participant of the PEF MBP Family & Friends Day event, you grant the PEF Membership Benefits Program, the right to photograph/videotape the bearer of the Great Adventure ticket on Great Adventure property, and utilize the photography/videotape for any PEF MBP marketing purpose (i.e., advertising material, the internet, social media, or any other media) without notice, payment, or consideration.

  • E-Tickets can only be purchased over the phone or in person at the PEF MBP office located at 10 Airline Drive, Suite 101, Albany, NY 12205.
  • PEF member/retiree membership will be verified.
E-ticket supplies are limited and will only be available while supplies last.
